#30 Lists and an Announcement
Do you make lists? I make a lot of lists. So, when I saw a really cool class announcement for a quick little class called 30 Days of Lists, I signed up. I've stayed right with it and at the moment I'm only a day behind - which for me is pretty good. If you scroll down, you can see the other nine of my first ten lists - number one is above. But, before that. I have a BIG announcement and I couldn't be more excited!
Receiving art in the mail makes me smile every single time it happens. I also love how so many of the cards I get include quotes in the notes or messages. Since we're writing, normally, to folks we don't yet know, a lot of people include a quote or other sentiment in their handwritten message. I want to take that idea one step further in my first hosted Postcard Swap.
The "Words of Inspiration" swap is open for registration now! The only rules for the art you create:
It needs to feature a quote in the art...add it to a photograph, work it in with mixed media, tangle around the words, etc. Use any quote that inspires you.
It needs to fit on a postcard.
On October 15, I'll send each person who signs up the names and addresses of five other participants. You'll send cards to each of the five people whose names you receive. Sign ups are open to everyone so you will likely be sending cards to International participants if you live in the U.S. International participants will likely have several U.S. names and addresses.
Registration is open now. Fill out the registration form here if you'd like to participate.
I'll be posting more ideas and samples here on my blog between now and the end of October. If you'd like to see those updates, now would be a good time to subscribe to my blog. If you'd like to see a couple of simple ideas now, check out this post and this post.
If you don't want to sign up now, you can pop back by anytime between now and October 15.
Please help me promote my swap! You can grab the button code below. Feel free to share news on your own blog or site! If I get 50 people to sign up, everyone will get a sixth card in the mail - one from me! I've also created a page for the swap...you can see it above. I'll keep all the up to date information about the swap there.

And now, back to our lists...
The great thing about these is that they are quick and fun to put together. Each one has taken me probably about 10 minutes.
What are your favorite kinds of lists to make?
By the way...Flickr is still suffering from the effects of the GoDaddy hack on Monday (wondered why the Internet was slow on Monday...that's why). So, the pics here are shared on Flickr as well, but they aren't linked to Flickr like normal so clicking on them won't take you to Flickr like it normally does.
