A Year of Manifesting Wellness
In the first newsletter of each month, I'll be doing a review of the previous month's theme and looking ahead to next month's theme.
February Wrap up
February’s theme changed from friends to spirit. Even with the change I struggled a bit with the February theme and activities.
One Minute Meditation
I have not been able to get much traction with meditation. I finally put a place holder on my calendar for a few minutes around lunch time. This did seem to help some. I also have been seeing a chiropractor this past month. Each appointment starts with some time just laying with heat on my back. I’ve been using the time as an opportunity for a longer meditation.
Writing About Faith
Several years ago, I imagined a writing series about my faith. I’ve done some notes on it over the years but never published anything because it felt perhaps too personal. I made several more notes about the series this past month but still no publishing. I do want to get to a point where I publish some parts of this series. Not sure when that will happen though.
Focusing on Energy in March
Let’s review the monthly themes as they currently stand:
January - FinancesFebruary - SpiritMarch - Energy
April - Outer Order ← Tax time is always a good time to get things in order
May - Play ← Cancer treatment should be OVER!!
June - Body ← My body has been through a lot. Time to give it some focus.
July - Family & Friends ← I’m headed out on vacation with the family at the end of the month
August - Health ← This is the normal time I do my “project health” month
September - Work ← Labor Day is a nice reminder to focus on work
October - Celebration ← I’ve got a big birthday this month
November - Awe and Wonder
December - Onward
What's Planned for March?
This past weekend we had beautiful weather here in Central Indiana so it was easy to get outside and walk even though I’m in a chemo “valley” where I have a pretty low energy level. That said, I’m going to get outside as much as possible this month as temperatures, hopefully continue to improve.
I also plan to do some space clearing and cleaning this month. Open, clean space helps me feel more energized. I want to do at least one thing each day to clean and clear. While this is looking ahead a bit at April’s theme of Outer Order, I have more than enough to do across two months and hopefully I’ll take some momentum into April.
How is your year going so far?

Get cash back at the pump
I’ve been using Upside for well over a year now to get cash back at the pump at occasionally at restaurants and on groceries. With upside, you can also see where gas is cheapest which, especially right now, is handy. To get started using Upside, download the app (links below) and sign up for an account. If you’re so inclined, you can enter my referral code: KARA3995. Then, join me in getting cash back. I’ve earned about $50 in six months through nothing more than a check in when I get gas. I don’t drive much anymore though so I know folks who have earned much more since they fill up their tank far more often than I do.
