A few photos from my guest photographer...
I took a couple of your typical conference photos with my cell phone cam today but my mom and sister (who are here having a good time while I attend a conference) headed off to the San Diego Zoo today. You need to understand that my sister Susie has had a fascination with Koala Bears for as long as I can remember. She, before kids, had a big koala bear bank that all her spare change used to go into - that was her Australia trip fund. I'm sure its contents has gotten put towards the kid's college funds. I still hope that someday she can get there. Until then, the Koalas at the San Diego Zoo will have to do for her.
I don't turn over my camera too easily but I figured at least the camera should have a good time today since I was stuck in sessions. So, before I headed out to sessions this morning Susie got a crash course in Program Mode on my Nikon D80. Needless to say she was ecstatic with the pictures she got. It helped that they were there early in the morning - she's never gotten photos of the koalas awake and playing. Here is a sample of her excellent work from today.
Susie heads out tomorrow so mom will have to hang out by herself tomorrow. It won't be a problem as she is enjoying the great view out of our room. It has been a lot of fun having we girls together for the long weekend.
