The Poem
S*!# happens
a desperate effort to fill her lungs
she tried to cry out
terror of her staring eyes
she could no longer breathe
the look she gave him was charged with terror
her lips blue
"Quick, quick!" he shouted. "Quick!"
"Quick! Something's happened. I've killed her."

Today's process
This prompt can pretty easily be found on every page of this book - it is Brave New World after all. So, I just picked a page and created the poem. I probably took more time with appearance of the words than with the words themselves. I liked how the poem has a visual alignment that leans to the right and then the left and then almost centers in the last line. I wanted the red on the page against the black to add to the violence of it. I don't love the flow of the words at all, but I do appreciate the way the visual flows.
