Hello 2011
So, here I am again at the beginning of another year - feeling a need to create something important this year - to make 2011 memorable in some important way. Last year was my first year to really make a good effort at blogging and while I didn't make it through the whole year blogging and taking photographs every day, I am pleased with how much happened last year and the fact that I accomplished as many things as I did.
After traveling more than 30,000 airline miles and being away from home for nearly one-third of 2010 I was looking forward to a quieter year this year. However, it's not shaping up to be that kind of year. I'm already scheduled for five trips of more than two days and about 19,000 airline miles and the year has just begun.
I'm still committed to taking photos, but not sure if I'm going to do a photo a day. One of the best things I got from the project in 2010 was a better understanding of my camera and how it works so I certainly want to continue taking photos regularly. I did snap this one today of Lindsay - she's enjoying running and playing in the mud that has taken over our back yard with the warmer temps and heavy rain we got last night. She's not as crazy about having to wait at the back door and have her paws cleaned off before she goes outside.

This year, I really want to focus on creating new memories and new things. I'm taking a couple of online classes from Big Picture Classes - namely Ali Edwards "one little word" class and Becky Higgins "Project Life" community to use the Project Life - Turquoise Edition to document this year on paper as well as my One Little Word. I'm sure photos from those layouts will show up here as well this year.
I look forward to sharing 2011 with you.
