Ice Day Number 1
I'm not sure if I'm being optimistic, realistic, or anxious calling today Ice Day 1. The College closed for today at about 9:00 p.m. last night which was a nice surprise to know before going to bed I didn't have to go to work today and worry about the ice. However, if the weather folks are right, we've gotten just a small sip of what is about to follow. Therefore, I decided to post early today - as I am anticipating and planning to not have power, Internet, or any of those other common luxuries by the end of the day today. I sure hope that we do keep all those things and everyone stays safe, but if this storm is what it is supposed to be, there is no way that we will keep power. If the weather folks are right - we're going to get Thunder Snow tonight - I don't remember the last time I saw - or rather heard - that.
Glad to report my folks made it safely south of Atlanta yesterday and were on the road heading for their spot in Florida when dad and I exchanged texts this morning. So happy they made it out of here before this weather hit.
Also, very excited that my friend Amy has also signed up to take Alisa Burke's Sketchbook Delight workshop - looking forward to working on that at the same time.
Wherever you are in this mess - stay warm and most importantly - stay safe.
