It's heating up in Chicago
As a country girl hanging out in the city I'm always a little surprised by at least one thing I see. However, today was a very special day as it was the day of the Gorilla Challenge in Chicago. I had never heard of this event - however this scavenger hunt of sorts had taken over a good part of the Magnificent Mile and Millenium Park today as teams competed to solve clues and win prizes. I enjoyed chatting with a few of them and taking their photos.
I headed off to Millenium Park to enjoy "the Bean" which I had fun taking photos of when I was here last year. As is my custom, I took photos of several families and one offered to take my photo - so I took them up on it! A little out of focus - but still a nice shot.
I was trying to capture the sun flare today...didn't come out quite as prominently as I thought it might.
My favorite of all the shots of "The Bean"
The fog was so cool over the city today...I had fun browsing through the Art Institute for a short time today. Will definitely have to go back.
I took several other random shots. We're expecting the weather to hit 80 degrees tomorrow!! Of course, along with that are some predicted thunderstorms and other nasty weather. I am looking forward to the warmth and hope to get outside again for a few minutes to enjoy it.
Hope you're having a great weekend.
