I've swapped the swap!
The start of October didn't go exactly like I'd planned. I've had a lot of great experiences - and one really, really bad flight - that I need to share out, but I've been trapped in a good share of hotel rooms and conference rooms without WiFi over the last two weeks so I'm noticeably behind. Who traps people in rooms without WiFi anymore? When you have to spend all night at home doing your day job, it leaves no time for doing the night job (the fun stuff like blogging!) at home.
I wanted to post a quick note to say that I swapped out the Words of Inspiration postcard swap info earlier this evening. It came with a minor technology snafu as I tried to get all fancy and use a Google Docs script (which is kind of explained here) to do a mail merge from my Gmail account (Google...if you're reading this...could you just build in that functionality please?). It sort of worked and sort of didn't. Note to self...experiment more with the technology next time so your participants don't all have to get two emails. Thanks again to everyone who signed up - I'm so excited to see all the gorgeous art!!!
For today's photo, it was a gorgeous, warm sunny fall day here in Indianapolis and the light shining through the tree outside my office was beautiful this afternoon so I grabbed a shot with my cell phone. I'm grateful for the fall season - it's my favorite and the last few years we seem to have gone straight from horrible summer heat to freezing winter temps. So, I took a moment to notice my favorite season. I hope it stays around for a while.
I hope you enjoy!
